World heritage communities need better compensation for business restrictions
Eight MPs are proposing measures to improve conditions for business development in Norway's world heritage communities. The proposers argue that state decisions related to world heritage protection often restrict local business development without adequate compensation, and they call on the government to establish a permanent compensation scheme, a national framework, and strengthen local planning authority.
