MPs call for tougher cooling-off periods between politics and lobbying
MPs Julie E. Stuestøl, Ingrid Liland, and Frøya Skjold Sjursæther have introduced a proposal to extend the cooling-off period for senior politicians and officials who move into lobbying. The proposers argue that the current six-month cooling-off period is too short to prevent people from gaining competitive advantage or influencing government on matters they previously handled.
