Counties seek full compensation for zero-emission mandates
MPs Geir Inge Lien, Bent-Joacim Bentzen, and Ole Herman Sveian are calling on the government to ensure county authorities are fully compensated for the costs of switching to zero-emission vehicles and vessels. The proposers argue that counties face substantial expenses when transitioning to electric buses, ferries, and speedboats without adequate state funding, forcing them to cut routes and weakening mobility in rural areas.
