MPs call for strengthened staffing in Norwegian nurseries
MPs Guri Melby, Abid Raja and Grunde Almeland have tabled a proposal to strengthen Norwegian nurseries. The proposers argue that fewer than half of trained nursery teachers currently work in nurseries, and that the profession attracts too few applicants. They are calling on the government to introduce several measures to improve staffing, career development, male recruitment and reduce sick leave.
