The state should maintain bridges it has built
MP Geir Inge Lien proposes that the state assume responsibility for maintaining bridges it has constructed, even when municipal or county roads cross them. The proposer argues that unclear lines of responsibility create uncertainty for municipalities and counties, can delay necessary maintenance, and in some cases has led to bridge closures.
