Plan to boost Norwegian drug production and emergency supply agreements
Five Progress Party MPs propose strengthening Norway's pharmaceutical preparedness through domestic production. The proposers argue that Norway is almost entirely dependent on imported medicines, leaving the country vulnerable during crises, and that a 2021 Storting resolution on emergency supply agreements has gone unimplemented. They ask the government to establish a national preparedness model, negotiate agreements with Norwegian producers, and secure funding for essential raw materials.
