Committee recommends rejecting bill on immigration statement
Four MPs introduced a proposal requesting the government to present a parliamentary statement on immigration and integration. The Standing Committee on Municipal and General Affairs unanimously recommends that the Storting reject the proposal. Several committee members argue that a new statement is unnecessary, since the government recently presented Parliamentary Report 17 (2023–2024) and is already working on a new integration strategy.
