Storting urges government to help Pilot Flight Academy students
The Standing Committee on Education and Research is considering a private member's bill from MPs Morten Stordalen, Anne Grethe Hauan, Sebastian Saltrø Ytrevik, Bård Hoksrud and Simen Velle on measures for students from Pilot Flight Academy, which went bankrupt in January 2026 and affected around 170 students. The committee majority (Progress Party, Conservative Party, Christian Democratic Party and Liberal Party) calls on the government to introduce measures enabling students to complete their education, while the minority (Labour Party, Socialist Left Party, Centre Party and Red Party) proposes payment deferral and interest relief.
