Committee calls for safer digital school environment for students
MPs Sunniva Holmås Eidsvoll and Mirell Høyer-Berntsen tabled a proposal to improve digital safety in schools. The Standing Committee on Education and Research recommends that the government task the Directorate for Education and Training with supporting municipalities in deploying ad-free school devices and blocking harmful content, while updating guidance with concrete measures. A minority of MPs from the Socialist Left Party, Red Party, and Liberal Party propose additional measures including legal requirements for content filters, ad-blocking, and parental controls on devices taken home.
