About this bill
Labour committee rejects proposal to ease working conditions for young people
The Standing Committee on Labour and Social Affairs considered a private member's bill from MPs Amalie Gunnufsen, Anna Molberg, and Haagen Poppe proposing changes to employment and alcohol laws to make it easier for young people to enter the workforce. A majority from the Labour Party, Socialist Left Party, and Red Party recommended rejecting the proposal, while a minority from the Progress Party and Conservative Party put forward alternative proposals to loosen working hour rules and age restrictions.
