About this bill
Committee calls for inquiry into heart attack treatment in Norway
The Standing Committee on Health and Care Services is examining a private member's bill from seven MPs proposing improvements to cardiac care in northern and central Norway. The committee puts forward two competing recommendations: a majority from the Labour Party, Conservative Party, and Socialist Left Party calls for a professional review of the entire treatment pathway for heart attacks, while another majority from the Progress Party, Socialist Left Party, Centre Party, Red Party, and Christian Democratic Party calls for protecting and strengthening PCI services and cardiac expertise at University Hospital of North Norway.
