Storting approves submarine acquisition and long-range precision weapons
The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence recommends that the Storting approve two defence projects: launching Project 1095 to acquire land-based long-range precision weapons for the Army with a budget of 19.098 billion kroner, and expanding Project 6346 for new submarines with an increased budget from 51.884 billion to 98.464 billion kroner. The committee argues these projects are critical to Norwegian defence capability and implement the long-term defence sector strategy.
