Energy and Environment Committee recommends 2026 budget for three departments.
The Standing Committee on Energy and Environment has presented its recommendation to the Storting on 2026 appropriations for the Energy Department, the Ministry of Trade, Fisheries and Food Policy, and the Climate and Environment Ministry. The majority—comprising members from the Labour Party, Socialist Left Party, Centre Party, Red Party, and Green Party—endorses the budget agreement reached on 3 December 2025 and stresses that no changes should be made without full agreement from all parties to the deal. Members from the Progress Party, Conservative Party, and Liberal Party have put forward alternative positions and budgets.
