Family Committee presents 2026 budget proposals for three departments
The Standing Committee on Family and Culture has submitted its recommendation on the 2026 state budget for the Ministry of Children and Family Affairs, Ministry of Culture and Equality, and Ministry of Climate and Environment. The recommendation covers allocations within budget framework areas 2 (Family, consumer affairs, church and religious communities) and 3 (Culture and equality), based on framework amounts approved by the Storting on 5 December 2025. MPs from various parties present their own priorities and criticisms of the government's proposal.
