Storting approves 939 million kroner for constitutional institutions in 2026
The Standing Committee on Scrutiny and Constitutional Affairs recommends that the Storting allocate 939.147 million kroner to constitutional institutions in 2026, which include the Storting's external bodies. This is 8 million kroner less than the government proposed, following a budget agreement between the Labour Party, Socialist Left Party, Centre Party, Red Party, and Green Party. The Progress Party and Conservative Party have submitted alternative proposals calling for deeper cuts.
