Finance Committee issues budget recommendation with no majority
The Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs has issued its recommendation on the national and state budgets for 2026. Negotiations between the government parties failed to reach agreement, leaving no majority for any framework proposal. The Labour Party, Centre Party, and Red Party have jointly submitted their own recommendation.
