About this bill
Business Committee backs new space law with revised emergency provisions
The Standing Committee on Business and Industry has reviewed the government's proposal for a new law governing space activities, which would replace legislation from 1969. The committee recommends the law with amendments, particularly to the emergency preparedness clause. A minority from the Socialist Left Party, Red Party, and Green Party has put forward proposals for strict liability for economic losses in the fishing industry and the establishment of a compensation fund.
